Delayed Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is one of the most terrifying things that can happen to men. It is, without a doubt, the most common issue men are faced with. Sometimes, the problem is the opposite. It can so happen that no matter for how long you have sex, you can’t ejaculate. Needless to say, that can be pretty worrying, too. You shouldn’t panic because it’s perfectly normal. If you know what causes this problem, you’re already halfway in solving it.

Let’s take a quick look at some of the culprits of delayed or no ejaculation:

  1. The Condom

No, we don’t mean to say that you should ditch the condom. Never practise unsafe sex when you have multiple partners. There are a lot of men that cannot finish if they wear a condom. Not feeling the inside of the woman can easily prevent a man from ejaculating. The best way to get rid of the problem – if it’s indeed caused by the condom – is to experiment with thin condoms and other different types until you find the one for you. If you’re in a monogamous relationship (although if you’re on this website then probably not), then lucky you. If you are in a faithful relationship then your wife / girlfriend could consider going on the pill while you do ditch the condom.

  1. Stress

Stress does a lot of things to our bodies. Elevated levels of stress can cause temporary erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation and can even delay ejaculation past the normal time frame. This has great chances of happening when you’re in the bedroom with a new partner and you want to impress her. If this is the cause, being realistic will take care of the issue.

  1. Being Terrified of Pregnancy

Let’s be honest: every single man on this planet is terrified of unplanned pregnancy. This takes a huge psychological toll. There are men who are afraid to ejaculate inside women even if they wear condoms. While that fear is justified by the fact that condoms don’t work in all cases, you should not be paranoid. Always wear the condom as instructed, with enough lube, and you’ll be fine.

  1. Intoxication

Being drunk can make you either ejaculate too quickly or not at all. Of all beverages, wine is the main one that can create this problem. Refraining from drinking before having sex will definitely get you rid of the problem. Alcohol can be an extremely potent aphrodisiac and can make all things hotter, but when in excess, it only creates issues.

  1. Prescription Drugs

Certain drugs like antidepressants, for instance, can have this effect on the body. Given that discontinuing such treatments is not recommended, you should talk to your doctor and see what you can do about it.

Concluding Remarks

Delayed ejaculation can be nerve-wracking but it’s more common and solvable than you might think. Once you’ve pointed the cause, it will be easier for you to come up with a treatment for this condition. Experimenting, too, can be very helpful – try to change the positions, try different condoms and change the pace of the penetration often and you might just be able to ejaculate properly. If all else fails, go to a doctor and seek professional help.
