Others may simply prefer the coziness of the darkness surrounding them. This generally helps to promote a feeling of closeness and intimacy. Then there are those who are simply just a little embarrassed to be seen like that in the light. They don’t really want to have all their body parts showing – even to their partner. Sex in the dark is quite common among those who go out for drunken one night stands.
Lights On – The Benefits of Doing It in the Open
Of course, when we say “in the open” we don’t actually mean outside (although there are plenty of people who like doing it as well). We mean in the open with the lights on, with everything just hanging out there for everyone to see. While this is something that makes a lot of people cringe, there are also many who enjoy the pure exhibitionism of it. Of course, you’re generally not going to be having lots of people looking through the window but you will be looking at each other!
Ultimately, what you want to do depends on the coupling you are in. Some people really do enjoy doing it with the lights on or trying to actually see one another’s bodies. Others prefer to keep things wrapped up a little bit as this helps to promote a bit of sensory deprivation (which can also be very sexy).
